I am READY!
1. Fill out an application: You can find the application at any of the Madison County Public Libraries or here. Once you submit a complete application, you will be contacted about a test date which will be during the class time you selected on your application.
2. Take a placement test: You will need to take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education). This allows us to decide the course(s) to meet for your individual needs. Students who do not meet the required minimum score will be referred to the Literacy Connections to improve their skills for later retesting and enrollment in the GED class.
3. Start your plan: Once your TABE is assessed, we will work together to prepare you for the GED exam.
4. Attend orientation: We will discuss the overall program, your test scores, expectations of attendance, and set a timeline to prepare you for the GED exam.
5. Get Started!
